Posture and Pain
If you are suffering from back, neck, or shoulder pain, then I can help. The chances are that your posture isnt as good as it could be. Most people have some degree of faulty posture, which can be caused by any number of things, such as occupation, or injury or illness of some kind.
Is bad posture really a problem?
Whether you spend all your time at a desk or driving, or you’re an athlete training everyday, bad posture and movement can not only cause pain, but may also lead to long term joint or back problems. In sport, these weak links can also reduce performance and lead to injury. Poor posture can also affect your physical appearance, making you appear shorter, nervous or anxious, and generally less physically attractive or impressive.
Can I improve my posture?
YES! Through a comprehensive posture and movement assessment, followed by an individually tailored and targeted program of massage, stretching and exercise, most of these problems can be corrected. Its not difficult, but it does require 10-15 minutes of work every day, which can be done at home.
