Injury Prevention

If you are an athlete, at any level, you know that an injury, either a torn muscle or ligament or something as simple as a niggling ache or pain, will stop you training, and reduce your performance. These can be caused by any number of things, such as poor posture or movement, general weakness, poor technique, faulty or inappropriate training equipment or environment. Even a badly designed training program can cause injury.

What am I doing wrong?

At Pursuit Health & Performance, I can help. Firstly, I will perform a thorough Posture and Movement assessment, together with an assessment of equipment, technique, and training environment. This will identify where you may be putting yourself at risk.

What do I need to change?

This is then followed by a tailored program of exercise, massage and stretching to correct any muscular imbalance and weakness and to teach you how to move more safely and effectively. In addition, I will identify any changes that you may need to make to your equipment or training environment.

Finally, I can provide a long term training program which will not only reduce the chances of you suffering an injury, but will also push your fitness and performance to the next level.
